A sweet and woodsy blend of infused oils and oak moss absolute. The plants in this blend tend to grow in the oak groves of our area, the moss on the trees comes alive with the rain lending an earthy and grounding smell to the land.
Each of the plants chosen are gentle but also powerful allies for skin health and renewal. Use as a face oil, beard oil, or full body oil.

Yarrow - lace like flowers burst from long stems standing above a cluster of feather like leaves. Yarrow is absolutely stunning to be around. Known mostly for its ability to both staunch bleeding and increase circulation. Sometimes called the “master of the blood” yarrow is cooling yet stimulating to the cardiovascular system. Yarrow may help move stuck energy and emotions from the body while helping us to ground and feel protected.

Nettles - a loud plant that embodies the planet Mars with its stinging  and sharp protruding leaves. Nettles have been known to mine minerals from the soil and bring them to its leaves, making them so nourishing. Traditionally the fresh leaves have been used  help reduce inflammation (called utrification) by whipping the skin with the stinging leaves causing a reaction that drives fresh blood flow to the area, removing stagnant fluids. When infused in oil and applied to the skin it is gently stimulating for circulation and warming.

Frankincense resin - collected from Boswellia tree family, I infuse the resin straight into the carrier oil to obtain the boswellic acids. These boswellic acids may help with skin elasticity, inflammation, and sooth respiratory and muscle issues. The acids are NOT present in the essential oils so it is much more beneficial to have the infusion. I find this oil to be gently warming and stimulating and uplifting to the mind. Use as a ritual or simply enjoy the numerous benefits this wonderful plant ally has to offer.

Elderflower- elder flowers are a favorite springtime bloom for me, their dainty lice like clusters dance in the breeze and give off a spicy sweet smell attracting all sorts of beneficial insects. The elders that grow where I live are a blue elder, or Mexican elder trees. Elder flowers have been used for skincare for a long time due to its many benefits including powerful antioxidants, healing from sun damage caused by UVA, and helps to brighten the skin. She can be used in oils, washes, floral water / hydrosols, and masks. Elders grow widespread in most regions, I highly recommend you trying to find some in your area to see how beautiful they are!

Oak moss - this has become a new favorite for me, smelling like our oak woodland after a nourishing rain. The smell is very earthy and grounding with a touch of the woods. The absolute has many wonderful properties including powerful antioxidants and anti microbial benefits that may help to heal the skin. It can be beneficial for respiratory discomfort helping to easy congestion and calm the mind.
