Body Oiling

Body Oiling

Body oiling is a centuries old technique dating back to ancient Egyptians and is an important part of Ayurvedic medicine. The benefits of body oiling go beyond just moisturizing the skin. The act of massaging oil onto your entire body stimulates circulation, increases flexibility, and can even help calm the mind.

My favorite time to oil my body is just after a hot shower or bath when my skin is still warm, it seems to just drink in the oil and hold in moisture.

I start with my face breathing in the smell of the oil (especially if it’s infused with plants) and work my way down doing my best to get every part of my body. For extra increased circulation you can use a dry brush on your body before showering too!

Now relax and enjoy the benefits of clean, moisturized skin!

You can do the same thing with a body cream too! My tallow based creams are wonderful to use on your entire body, including your face!

All of the oils in my shop have been whole plant infused, extracting all the properties of the plant not just the essential oils. Each has its own unique benefits, but most are calming and balancing to the skin and mind.
Infused oils such as lavender, calendula, and rose tend to be cooling to the skin. Where as infused oils such as sage, basil, and turmeric tend to be warming. Choose an oil according to your mood and what your trying to achieve!

I truly hope you enjoy your body oiling experience!
